Luke is a graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS),and soon after, he established his own production company, More Sauce. He went on to direct and produce a range of short films and television shows in Australia.
In 2014, Luke created, produced, and directed the online series Low Life, which garnered widespread critical acclaim and won over 25 major festival awards. The series' success led to the creation of a follow-up series, High Life, which Luke also directed and produced. High Life has won over 30 major awards, including the prestigious Best Digital Original award at C21 Content London. The series has been sold to several major networks, including BBC3, Channel 9, CanalPlay, and Fullscreen.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Luke created, produced, directed, and acted in one of the world's first lockdown series, CANCELLED. This innovative series was produced in collaboration with teams in Australia, Spain, and Argentina, and has won 15 major awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at both the Marseille and British Web Festivals. CANCELLED was also nominated for a Rose D'Or award.
Luke made his feature film debut with the Netflix original film I Met A Girl, starring Brenton Thwaites and Lily Sullivan. The film premiered at the Busan International Film Festival and marks a significant milestone in Luke's career.
Luke is currently working on his second feature film, UnCANCELLED, which is an extension of his lockdown series. The film was shot during the dramatic Fallas Festival in Valencia, Spain, and stars Luke himself, his real-life wife Maria Albiñana, and long-time friend and collaborator Socratis Otto. UnCANCELLED is set to be released in March 2024.
