Born November 16th, 1986, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Lisandro Boccacci is a descendant of Giovani Boccaccio, a survivor of World War I and II, and a direct descendant of Nilson Jaurigui, a farmer and founder of the town of Loberia. His mother, Liliana Irene Boccacci, was a ballet dancer and instructor, while his father, Tomas Alberto Boccacci, was a computer programmer.
Lisandro's grandfather, Alberto Tomas Boccacci, was the first Chemical Engineer from Argentina, and his mother's side of the family has a strong agricultural background, with the family still owning farmland in Loberia. His introduction to Charlie Chaplin's movie City Lights by his grandfather at a young age sparked his interest in filmmaking.
Lisandro spent time attending school in Valbone, France, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Miami, Florida, where his family survived the devastating effects of Hurricane Andrew. Despite coming from modest means and battling cancer at the age of 13, Lisandro's determination to become a leading man in Hollywood movies never wavered.
He studied theater at Union High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he honed his skills in stagecraft, lights, and sound. He then attended the Tulsa Community College, where he earned his Associates degree in theater and film, and later the University of Tulsa, where he earned his bachelor's degree with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
Throughout his education, Lisandro battled cancer twice more, undergoing surgeries and radiation treatments. Despite these challenges, he continued to pursue his passion for filmmaking, making his first no-budget feature film at the age of 15 using a handheld camera.
Lisandro has since become a director/writer alumnus of the Taliesin Nexus program, mentored by industry professionals such as Paul Guay and Bill Marsilii. He has also trained with certified CSA, The Actor Factory in Norman, Oklahoma, and continues to do so.
As a national award-winning filmmaker and multiple award-winning pencil sketch artist, Lisandro resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is a huge fan of the Outsiders House Museum. He is also a supporter and collaborator for creating awareness for Gold Star Families and the Gold Star Families Monument.
With a mix of experience as a zero-budget indie filmmaker, solid education, and drive to break into acting, Lisandro is now working hard to find an agent, manager, representation, and his next leading role. His first leading role in a low-budget film, Stray Kids, is completed and moving on to distribution and release soon.
