Andrei Parfyonov is a renowned Russian journalist, news presenter, TV producer, and author of numerous documentary TV shows, whose extensive career has spanned multiple decades.
Parfyonov is particularly famous for his work in the studio, as well as his productions for NTV, where he served as Producer General between 1997 and 1999. However, his tenure at NTV came to an abrupt end when the TV channel was taken over by Gazprom Media, a government-owned media conglomerate.
Following his departure from NTV, Parfyonov went on to become the Editor-in-Chief of Russky Newsweek, the Russian edition of Newsweek, a position he held from December 3, 2004, to December 20, 2007.
Currently, Parfyonov is a member of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights, a testament to his commitment to upholding the values of democracy and human rights.
