Lawrence Alan Kasanoff, professionally known as Larry Kasanoff, is an accomplished American filmmaker, born on June 1, 1959. Throughout his illustrious career, Kasanoff has founded numerous esteemed film production companies, including the genre subsidiary Lightning Pictures in 1986, Lightstorm Entertainment with the renowned James Cameron in 1990, and Threshold Entertainment in 1993.
Kasanoff's impressive filmography boasts a range of notable productions, such as the Mortal Kombat movie franchise, which comprises the 1995 Mortal Kombat, its sequel Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, and its spin-off series Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm and Mortal Kombat: Conquest. Moreover, he served as the executive producer of the 2021 reboot of the Mortal Kombat franchise.
