Growing up on Bainbridge Island, Washington, Laura was the middle child of three sisters, older Jennifer (Jenny) and younger Lindsay. Her educational background includes a Sociology major at Wellesley College, where she graduated in 1996. Before embarking on her acting career, Laura worked with the NYPD as a domestic violence counselor.
