Kay Tse On-kei is a renowned Hong Kong-based Cantopop songwriter, recording artist, entertainer, and one of the most esteemed Cantonese singers. Born on March 13, 1977, she rose to prominence in the music industry after being signed with Ban Ban Music in 2005 and releasing her debut album.
Raised in Hong Kong, Tse's remarkable vocal range and versatility in various music genres, particularly jazz, have earned her widespread recognition. Her breakthrough came in 2008 with the hit song "Wedding Invitation Street," which topped the four major charts in Hong Kong.
The immense success of her album Binary in 2009 led to a plethora of awards, including the coveted "Media Award – Album" and "Media Award – Performer." Her subsequent album, Yelling, featured the hit single "Song of The Year" and became the ninth best-selling album of 2009.
