Lim's debut feature film, After All These Years, is a suspenseful cinematic experience, showcasing the talents of Wenchao He and Massa Dazhong. This inaugural endeavour marked the beginning of a remarkable journey for Lim as a filmmaker.
Subsequent to his debut, Lim's second film, Magic and Loss, premiered at the esteemed Busan International Film Festival, boasting an impressive cast featuring Kim Kkot-bi and Kiki Sugino.
Lim's third film, New World (Shinsekai Story),made its way to the Hong Kong International Film Festival, starring Tomonaga Koumei and Shi Ka.
In 2013, Lim directed his fourth film, Fly Me to Minami, which showcased a talented ensemble cast, including Sherine Wong, Kenji Kohashi, and Baek Seol Ah. This film screened at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival and received a Grand Prix nomination at the Osaka Asian Film Festival.
Following this success, Lim's fifth directorial effort, Love in Late Autumn, was released in 2016, featuring an all-star cast, including Irene Wan, Patrick Tam, and Charmaine Fong.
Lim's subsequent films continued to garner attention, with his sixth film, No Where, Now Here, premiering at the Osaka Asian Film Festival in 2018.
Most recently, Lim's seventh film, Somewhen Somewhere, made its debut at the Osaka Asian Film Festival in 2019, cementing his status as a respected and accomplished filmmaker.
