John Paul, or JP, Ocat, a 27-year-old individual, hails from Talisay City, Cebu, and has a strong connection to Cagayan de Oro City, where he spent his formative years studying at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, earning a degree in International Studies.
Prior to his rise to prominence, Ocat worked as a flight attendant and pursued a career in modeling and project management. His big break came when he competed in the Misters of Filipinas 2018 pageant, where he emerged as one of the winners, claiming the prestigious title of Man of the World Philippines 2018. This accomplishment led to his representation of the country in the Man of the World 2019 pageant, held in San Juan City, where he secured a notable fourth runner-up position among 40 contestants.
As a mental health advocate, Ocat is an avid reader and writer, often engaging in spiritual meditation, adventure, and music. Interestingly, he once harbored a dream of becoming a rapper. Moreover, he has an additional long-term goal of becoming a lawyer.
