Joseph Miller relocated to Los Angeles to further his acting career by pursuing advanced studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Within the esteemed Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program under the guidance of renowned acting coach Edward Kaye-Martin, Miller refined his craft.
Subsequently, he continued his artistic development at Playhouse West, where he directly studied with the accomplished Robert Carnegie. Notably, Miller's fellow students during his time at Playhouse West included notable actors Michelle Pfeiffer, Ashley Judd, James Franco, and Jeff Goldblum, who also taught at the institution.
In addition to his acting studies, Miller honed his skills by taking classes with revered acting instructors Stella Adler, Charles Conrad, Martin Landau, and George Maharis, who was a notable actor from the classic television series Route 66.
Beyond his acting pursuits, Miller is a multifaceted artist, exceling as a songwriter and star tenor saxophone player. He has had the privilege of touring with the legendary Ike Turner and Tina Turner. In Los Angeles, Miller furthered his songwriting abilities under the tutelage of accomplished songwriters Al Kasha and Robin Frederick.
Throughout his career, Miller has penned the lyrics to several notable songs, including the African hit "Badonka Donk Lady" and the R&B religious song "Down to the River." He has also accumulated numerous credits for songwriting, music, and production, with dozens of additional songs to his name.
