Biography

Joe's remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of thirteen, when his first film, Double Trouble, premiered on the syndicated television show Kidsworld. As a teenager, he was already honing his skills in film and television production, a talent that would serve him well in his future endeavors.

After completing his studies in film and TV production at Syracuse University, Joe's projects became the go-to examples for his peers, showcasing his exceptional abilities. His professional career took off as a production assistant for Entertainment Tonight, a role that allowed him to continue acting and gaining valuable industry experience.

The Off-Broadway sensation Tony n' Tina's Wedding marked a significant milestone in Joe's career, earning him a starring role in the daytime drama Another World as Captain Joe Carlino. This iconic role became a cornerstone of the 35-year-old series, cementing Joe's status as a talented and versatile actor.

Joe's Broadway debut as Danny Zuko in the hit revival of Grease! was a resounding success, with him successfully juggling a demanding network TV schedule with eight shows a week in a Broadway musical. His impressive credentials continued to grow as he co-hosted the 25th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards with Leeza Gibbons, served as a celebrity judge at the Miss America Pageant, and appeared in several Law and Order(s),independent films, and the Showtime Pilot Hate.

In addition to his entertainment career, Joe made significant contributions to his community. In the aftermath of September 11th, he relocated to Battery Park City, where he became a founding member of the neighborhood's Community Emergency Response Team, earning FEMA's Top Gun Award for his dedication and hard work.

Joe spent a decade in Las Vegas, starring in the Tony-Award winning musical Jersey Boys on the Vegas Strip. In 2016, he and his family returned to the East Coast, where he opened A Bronx Tale on Broadway. Since then, Joe has taken over the iconic role of "Sonny" and is currently headlining the first national tour.

Personal life has been equally fulfilling for Joe, who has been married to Nicole Perry since July 15, 2000, and is a proud father of two children.
