Josef Kubota Wladyka, the youngest of three sons, was born to a Japanese mother and a Polish father who shared a profound passion for dance, photography, and cinema. Wladyka's academic achievements are equally impressive, as he holds an MFA from NYU's Tisch Graduate Film School, where he was awarded the esteemed Spike Lee Fellowship. His feature film debut, "Manos Sucias", released in 2014, has received widespread acclaim, including two SFFS/KRF Filmmaking Awards and the Canon Camera Award.
