Biography

John Travis, a pioneering figure in the American adult entertainment industry, embarked on his illustrious career in the early 1970s in the vibrant city of San Francisco, initially focusing on 8mm loops. As his expertise grew, he began directing films for renowned studios such as Falcon Entertainment, Brentwood Studios, Huge Video, and Catalina Video, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.

In 1992, Travis co-founded Studio 2000 alongside producer Scott Masters, further solidifying his position as a driving force in the world of gay adult entertainment. However, it was his discovery and mentorship of the incredibly talented Jeff Stryker that cemented his legacy, as Stryker went on to become one of the most recognizable and beloved figures in the industry.
