Jeanne Cooper, born Wilma Jeanne Cooper on October 25, 1928, in Taft, California, is a renowned American actress. She is most famously recognized for her iconic portrayal of Katherine Chancellor on the long-running daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Although she didn't join the show from the very beginning, Cooper made her on-screen debut in November 1973, shortly after the series premiered in March of that year. Notably, she has maintained her position as the longest-tenured actor on The Young and the Restless. Cooper is also the proud mother of the accomplished actor, Corbin Bernsen.
