James, a Peak District native, is not surprisingly renowned for his accomplishments on the esteemed "God's own rock". At the tender age of 15, he embarked on his climbing journey by donning his first pair of rock shoes, and with unwavering enthusiasm and an innate aptitude for moving on rock, he swiftly began tackling some of the Gritstone's most challenging and daring routes.
As he continued to hone his skills, James went on to conquer some of the world's most difficult traditional routes, his name becoming synonymous with excellence in the climbing community. Subsequently, he expanded his repertoire to include bouldering, sport climbing, and multi-pitch ascents, and presently, his relentless pursuit of climbing hard rock continues to take him to various corners of the globe.
