Jaclyn Joshua Thanaraj Victor, professionally known as Jaclyn Victor, is a renowned Malaysian singer and actress who rose to fame after winning the inaugural Malaysian Idol and Ikon Malaysia competitions.
As the winner of Malaysian Idol, Jaclyn was awarded a recording contract with Sony BMG Music Entertainment, and she is currently managed by The 8 Unit.
Representing Malaysia, Jaclyn participated in the first Asian Idol and Ikon Asean competitions, solidifying her reputation as a talented vocalist.
Dubbed "Asia's Divette" for her exceptional vocal abilities, Jaclyn has released several successful albums, including her debut "Gemilang" under Sony BMG, which won the "Best Pop Album" and "Album of the Year" awards at the Anugerah Industri Muzik 2005.
The titular single from "Gemilang" also won the Anugerah Juara Lagu award in 2005.
In 2012, Jaclyn signed a recording deal with KRU Music and released a Malay language album titled "Ikut Rentakku", which garnered numerous awards.
Following her success, Jaclyn signed a new agreement with KRU Music and released an English language EP entitled "Unleashed" in 2014.
In 2017, Jaclyn performed as an opening act at the Anugerah Juara Lagu awards and also took the stage at the SEA Games 2017.
Throughout her career, Jaclyn has accumulated an impressive nine Anugerah Industry Muzik awards, equivalent to the prestigious Grammy Awards, and five awards in various categories at the Anugerah Juara Lagu.
