Irem Altug embarked on her acting journey at the tender age of seven, commencing her career in television commercials and films. Her debut on the silver screen was in the 1990 film "Women's Ward," directed by the renowned Halit Refig, who tragically passed away.
Throughout her career, Irem has honed her craft through rigorous study, attending both a conservatory in Istanbul and the theatre department of San Francisco State University.
Irem's extensive television repertoire boasts a diverse range of characters, including a criminologist in "Seytan Ayrintida Gizlidir" (2004),a belly dancer in "Under the Trees" (2005),a young lawyer in "Vazgeç gönlüm" (2007),a police officer in "Kayip Araniyor" (2011),a house maid in "Ask Ekmek Hayaller," and a mysterious woman in "Masum" (2017).
Her most notable role to date is that of Ayse in the critically acclaimed television show "The Pit" (2017).
