Imogen Byron's early life was marked by a strong connection to the performing arts, as she grew up attending the prestigious New London Performing Arts Centre (NLPAC) and was a proud member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain (NYT). Her younger sister, Tabitha Byron, also followed in her footsteps and pursued a career in acting.
By the age of 7, Imogen had already made her West End debut in the iconic musical Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre, and went on to perform in numerous other West End productions. Her early success led to a regular role on the popular CBBC comedy sketch show 'Stupid' when she was just 9 years old.
Imogen's talent and versatility soon landed her a series regular role on the BBC thriller 'Messiah: The Harrowing', playing the daughter of Helen McCrory and Hugo Speer. Her impressive football skills also earned her the lead role of Sammy Yeomans in the ITV film 'Pickles', which premiered after the 2006 World Cup.
In 2007, Imogen filmed several projects, including the BBC costume drama 'Cranford', opposite the legendary Judi Dench, and performed in the West End production of 'Evita'. The following year, she enjoyed a sell-out run at The Old Vic, performing alongside Kevin Spacey in 'Inherit The Wind', directed by Trevor Nunn.
At the tender age of 13, Imogen was cast in a recurring role as Rachel Levy on the BBC's long-running medical drama 'Holby City'. As she continued to tackle serious storylines on the show, Imogen returned to the stage to play Kitty Bennet in 'Pride & Prejudice' at the Regents Park Open Air Theatre.
Imogen's impressive range was further showcased when she originated the role of Bridget in Penelope Skinner's 'Linda' at the Royal Court Theatre. She then took on a lead role in Jo Brand's improvised BBC Comedy 'Going Forward', playing the complex and endearing character of Kelly Wilde, an OCD teenager.
Today, Imogen continues to work in television, theatre, and film, solidifying her position as a talented and versatile young actress in the industry.
