Between 1983 and 1986, he had an impressive ten top 40 hit singles in the UK, with six of them reaching the top ten. His 1984 album, Human's Lib, even made it to number one on the charts. But his success wasn't limited to the UK - globally, he had an impressive 15 top 40 hit singles between 1983 and 1992. Jones has been recognized as one of the key figures in the synth pop movement of the mid-1980s by AllMusic editor Stephen Thomas Erlewine.
