Gautham Karthik is a renowned Indian film actor, predominantly active in the Tamil film industry, whose acting career began with a prominent role in Mani Ratnam's 2013 film, Kadal.
As the son of accomplished Tamil film actor Karthik Muthuraman and his first wife, the talented actress Ragini Karthik, Gautham is also the grandson of the esteemed actor R. Muthuraman. He spent his formative years in Udhagamandalam, and his academic journey was marked by a stint at Christ University in Bangalore, where he was pursuing a degree in Psychology, English, and Media.
Prior to entering the film industry, Gautham Karthik had no prior connection to it. Instead, he was a gifted musician, having honed his skills as a guitarist and vocalist in his band, Dead End Street, during his college days. This multifaceted personality also has two younger siblings, Ghayn and Thiran.
