Erden Kıral, a renowned Turkish filmmaker, left an indelible mark on the cinematic world, directing a total of 12 films spanning from 1978 onwards.
One of his most notable works is the 1979 film, "The Canal", which was fortunate enough to be selected for the 11th Moscow International Film Festival.
In the following year, Kıral's 1983 film, "A Season in Hakkari", gained international recognition by being included in the prestigious 33rd Berlin International Film Festival, where it received the esteemed Silver Bear – Special Jury Prize.
Fast forward to five years later, Kıral's film, "Hunting Time", was once again recognized for its excellence, being entered into the 38th Berlin International Film Festival.
