Erdal Tosun, a renowned Turkish actor, was born on April 9, 1963, in Istanbul. He is the son of Necdet Tosun, a prominent actor of the Yeşilçam era. Tosun's brother, Gürdal Tosun, was also an actor, following in the footsteps of their father and brother. After graduating from Beyoğlu Fındıklı Lisesi in 1980, Tosun began his acting career in 1981 with the film "Mine". He then went on to study at Mimar Sinan University's State Conservatory, from which he graduated. Following his education, Tosun founded the Özel Tiyatroyu, a private theater company. He later joined the Antalya State Theatre and played the role of Mezopotamya Üçlemesi in Murathan Mungan's play. After leaving the State Theatre, Tosun joined the BKM Oyuncuları, a prominent acting troupe. Throughout his career, he has appeared in numerous films and television series, including Yarım Elma, where he portrayed the memorable character "Medeni Karpuz" and delivered the iconic line "Kıroyum ama para bende" (a quote that has become synonymous with his character).
