Diane Robin, a talented American actress, was born on July 23, 1966, in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, although she is often cast as a New Yorker.
Diane's early training began in high school, where she received a scholarship to the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, making her the youngest person to be accepted into the adult program.
With determination and perseverance, Diane secured a manager who encouraged her to sneak onto the Universal lot and personally deliver her picture and resume to a casting director. Despite being thrown off the lot by a security guard, Diane's story impressed a complete stranger, who happened to be an agent, and he offered to represent her the very next day.
Since then, Diane has gone on to appear in over 120 television and film productions, working alongside Academy Award-winning actors such as Holly Hunter, Robin Williams, and Jeff Bridges. She has also had the privilege of collaborating with legendary directors, including Terry Gilliam, Peter Hyams, Chris Columbus, and Paul Verhoeven, in films like RoboCop.
Diane's impressive resume includes guest starring roles on popular TV shows like NCIS, Desperate Housewives, and MacGyver, as well as co-starring in numerous Hallmark and Lifetime movies, such as McBride, Mystery Woman, and Annie's Point.
She has also appeared in films like Authors Anonymous with Kaley Cuoco, House of Deadly Secrets with Patty McCormack, and Lifetimes You Can't Take My Daughter with Lyndsy Fonseca. Diane is particularly proud of her role as the endearing and pushy mother Eleanor in the Indie Award-winning comedy Dating Daisy.
Currently, Diane can be seen starring in and writing the acclaimed comedy web series Strange Therapy on Amazon Prime. She has recently completed costarring in the thriller Deadly Reunion and has been cast as one of the leads in The Sweepers.
Despite her extensive experience in the industry, Diane remains humble and enthusiastic, often sporting a personalized license plate that reads "CAST ME" to avoid any confusion about her profession and passion.
