Deepu Pradeep is a renowned Indian scriptwriter who has made a significant impact in the Malayalam film industry. His journey began in 2007 when he started his career as a blogger, writing various short stories on his blog that garnered widespread attention.
It was his short story 'Glass Story' that caught the attention of director Basil Joseph, leading to an opportunity to write the screenplay for his debut movie. Prior to this, Deepu had already written screenplays for two short films, 'Athekaranathaal' and 'Unnimoolam'.
Deepu's debut feature film, 'Kunjiramayanam', was a unique blend of five short stories he had previously posted on his blog, including 'Paathirathriyile Premam' (2010),'Salsamukku' (2011),'Just Married' (2012),'Cut Piece kuttan' (2012),and 'Gundakal Karayaarilla' (2013). The film's success in Kerala solidified his position as a talented scriptwriter.
Deepu's subsequent project, 'The Priest', marked his second venture as a scriptwriter, co-written with Shyam Menon. The film was released in March 2021 and received a wide theatrical release across Kerala. With his impressive body of work, Deepu Pradeep has established himself as a prominent figure in the Malayalam film industry.
