Christophe Offenstein, born in Fontenay-aux-Roses in March 1962, is a French film director and cinematographer. He initially entered the film industry as an electrician, later becoming a chief electrician, operator, and ultimately a chief operator. In addition to his work as a cinematographer, he is also a producer and director. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous notable individuals, including Guillaume Canet, François Cluzet, Marion Cotillard, and Jean-Paul Rouve.
Notably, Offenstein was nominated for a César Award for Best Cinematography for his work on Guillaume Canet's film "Ne le dis à personne", which went on to receive several awards, including the prize for Best Director. Furthermore, Offenstein is the proud father of Lolita Offenstein, an actress in her own right.
