Chizzy Akudolu, a talented British actress, was born on October 7, 1973. Her remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began in 2002 when she was one of eight new comedy performers to win the BBC Talent Initiative, The Urban Sketch Showcase.
This prestigious award led to her first television appearance in the BBC sitcom, 15 Storeys High, followed by a small role in the popular soap opera, Eastenders. Akudolu continued to work with the BBC, starring in her first children's series, Stupid!, and Roman's Empire. Her impressive credits also include the critically acclaimed comedy series, Green Wing, the International Emmy award-winning children's drama, Dustbin Baby, and a cameo appearance as herself in the mockumentary, The Most Unromantic Man in the World.
In addition to her work with the BBC, Akudolu has appeared in various other projects, including The Complete Guide to Parenting, where she played the recurring role of Miss Kanouti. She has also worked extensively with CBBC, starring in programs such as Nuzzle and Scratch, Scoop, and Gigglebiz.
In 2007, Akudolu embarked on a three-month tour with The Vagina Monologues. The following year, she played the character Angel in the satirical comedy, Dead Set, a cross between Big Brother and zombies. She also appeared in the BBC Films production, In the Loop, directed by Armando Iannucci, although her role was uncredited.
In 2009, Akudolu had a guest role in Hollyoaks Later and starred in the CBBC show Jinx, playing the lead role of Cookie, the unconventional Fairy Godmother. Her recent roles include appearances in The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, London 2012, Scoop Series 3, The Inbetweeners, and Campus, a Channel 4 comedy in which she plays a semi-regular character.
