Zavion Michael Davenport, professionally recognized as Chi Chi DeVayne, was an American drag queen and reality television personality who garnered international acclaim on the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race and the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
Prior to his 2016 debut on Drag Race, DeVayne established a local reputation in his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana, where he initiated his drag career.
Following his appearance on the show, DeVayne embarked on a multitude of domestic and international tours, and he was featured in several web series focused on the world of drag.
In 2018, Davenport was diagnosed with scleroderma, a chronic autoimmune disease.
Tragically, two years later, he succumbed to death after contracting pneumonia as a complication of his scleroderma-related kidney failure, which he had been hospitalized for.
Davenport's untimely passing served as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment, particularly for those who have been affected by chronic illnesses like scleroderma.
