Cedric Gegel, the third of four siblings, was born and raised in the charming town of Wapakoneta, Ohio. His passion for performance began at a young age, and he continued to hone his craft throughout his high school years, graduating from Wapakoneta High School in 2013.
Following his high school graduation, Cedric pursued higher education at Capital University, where he studied a diverse range of subjects, including theatre, public relations, and English literature. He graduated in 2017, well-prepared to embark on his career in the entertainment industry.
Cedric's entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Just a Skosh Productions, a company that has allowed him to express his creativity through various mediums. Under the banner of Just a Skosh Productions, Cedric wrote and directed his debut feature film, the indie family fantasy "Cadia: The World Within," which starred Corbin Bernsen and James Phelps. Additionally, he penned the screenplay for the cancer drama "Forbearance," which features Vernon Wells in a starring role. Cedric also appears in a supporting role in the film, showcasing his range as an actor.
His impressive acting credits also include starring as the titular character in the ASTRA-nominated indie series "The Coroner's Assistant," for which he received a nomination for Best Leading Actor - Comedy at the 2024 Indie Series Awards. On stage, Cedric has played a variety of roles, including Robert F. Kennedy in "Kennedy: Bobby's Last Crusade," the Beast in "Beauty and the Beast," Pippin in "Pippin," and Link Larkin in "Hairspray." In 2024, he appeared alongside Morgan Fairchild in the play "Butterflies Are Free."
Cedric's creative endeavors extend beyond acting and filmmaking. He runs a popular YouTube channel where he analyzes music videos and live performances, providing educational content to thousands of viewers on topics such as storytelling, cinematography, editing, acting, production design, and vocal technique.
In the summer of 2023, Cedric relocated to the metro New York City area with his wife. He continues to travel the country, working on various indie film projects and stage roles.
