Carter Ward, a native of Washington, D.C. and Montgomery County, Maryland, where he spent his formative years, began his academic journey at Fordham University, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature. This pivotal moment marked the commencement of his fascination with film and storytelling, which was initially kindled in New York City, where he worked as an assistant on various short and feature films. This experience served as a catalyst, fuelling his passion for the craft, and ultimately prompting his relocation to Los Angeles in 2015 to pursue a career in filmmaking. In 2021, Ward took the bold step of founding his own production company, Arden Pictures, a venture that has already yielded a promising first film, Step Back, Doors Closing, slated for release in 2024. Notably, Ward wore multiple hats on this project, assuming the roles of writer, director, and producer, thereby showcasing his multifaceted talents and versatility as a creative force in the film industry.
