Byron's journey in the world of cinema began in his childhood, where he would create short horror films with his neighborhood friends in Owensboro, Kentucky. This early passion for filmmaking would only continue to grow as he attended various film and television courses throughout high school and college in Orlando, Florida.
Byron's determination and enthusiasm led him to work on multiple local productions, taking on every role from production assistant to first assistant director. This hands-on experience would ultimately culminate in the creation of his feature film, Night, which was acquired for worldwide home distribution in 2006.
Following the success of Night, Byron relocated to Seattle, Washington, where he directed music videos for several bands, including The Break Up, Legion Within, Cylab, and Endless Sunder. He also directed the short film Phantom Theater, showcasing his versatility as a filmmaker.
In addition to his work in music videos and short films, Byron was a member of the Industrial band GOD MODULE for eight years. During this time, he brought his unique style to their live shows, performing at venues across the globe and creating all video material for the band.
In 2015, Byron achieved new heights as a filmmaker and singer/performer. As the lead singer and lyricist of the Shock Rock band Ghosts in the Graveyard, he brought his unbridled enthusiasm to the stage, debuting their first single and music video "Better in Black" in September. The band's charismatic live performance on Halloween was followed by the worldwide release of Byron's second feature film, The Anatomy of Monsters, a soul-bearing story about the darkest impulses of the human psyche in December.
Currently, Byron is attached to direct two original new horror films in active development with Johnny Sullivan/Blackout Films in Hollywood, California. With his passion for filmmaking and performance continuing to grow, Byron's film and video work can be found on his YouTube playlist.
