Bowie Lam, born on September 4, 1965, is a renowned Hong Kong actor affiliated with the prominent TVB network. Prior to his successful entertainment career, Lam pursued various occupations, including a brief stint in the Hong Kong Police Force.
Lam's acting debut occurred in 1986 with the film Kiss Me Goodbye, and his singing debut followed in 1989. However, it was his 1991 joining of the major television network TVB that marked the beginning of his illustrious acting career.
Lam's initial project with TVB was a supporting role in the 1992 drama The Greed of Man, which featured an ensemble cast including Sean Lau, Vivian Chow, Adam Cheng, and Amy Kwok. As of 2011, The Greed of Man remained one of TVB's highest-rated dramas.
Following The Greed of Man, Lam was featured in a string of successful TVB dramas, including File of Justice (1994-1997),Untraceable Evidence (1997 and 1999),and Healing Hands (1998, 2000, and 2005). His breakout role is widely regarded as the 2004 drama War and Beauty, which achieved immense success in Hong Kong and China.
