Baris Pirhasan, a multifaceted creative force, was born in the vibrant city of Istanbul in the year 1951. He embarked on his academic journey, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976 from the prestigious Bogazici University, where he studied English Language and Literature with great distinction.
As a poet, Pirhasan's work has been published in various esteemed Turkish literary magazines, including Yeni Dergi, Militan, Sanat Emegi, Yazko Edebiyat, Gösteri, and Sözcükler. His written words have resonated with readers, leaving a lasting impact on the literary world.
Pirhasan's passion for the arts did not stop at poetry, as he also pursued a career in film and television direction. He attended the renowned National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, UK, from 1989 to 1993, studying under the esteemed Department of Film and TV Direction. His academic endeavors were generously supported by a scholarship from The British Council.
Throughout his career, Pirhasan has authored four remarkable poetry books: Tarih Kötüdür / Imzasiz El Yazilari, Babam Benden Hicbir Sey Anlamiyor, Askla Kedi Arasindaki Yedi Benzerlik, and Hürrem.
