Austin's journey in the entertainment industry began with a short stint as a model during his childhood. However, he soon transitioned to commercials and started acting at the tender age of eight. This ambitious young actor wasted no time in making a name for himself in the television and film industry, landing a role as Auzzie in Family Channel's series DEBRA! and Andy in the popular show "Life with Boys" on YTV/Nick.
Austin's impressive resume includes principal roles in various television shows such as Living in Your Car, Doddlebops, and The Ron James Show, as well as appearances in The Rick Mercer Report, Little Mosque on the Prairie, Mudpit, and a series of movies for Nickelodeon based on the adventures of Roxie Hunter.
As he grew older, Austin began to take on more challenging roles, including the lead in the short film Portrait of Ryan, a guest role in the popular TV series Hannibal on NBC as a serial killer, and a mugger in the feature film He Never Died. He has also lent his voice to various animation and narrative productions, showcasing his impressive tenor range.
Throughout his career, Austin has received numerous accolades, including 11 nominations and three wins for the Young Artists Awards, as well as five nominations and one win for the Mississauga Arts Council's Emerging Artists of the Year award, two nominations for a Joey Award, and one win.
Beyond his acting pursuits, Austin is also passionate about the technical aspects of filmmaking. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Film and Television at Sheridan College, where he is honing his skills in cinematography, sound, and editing. In addition to his academic pursuits, Austin has written, directed, edited, and acted in several short films of his own, as well as assisted other filmmakers.
Austin is also deeply committed to giving back to his community. He is involved with various organizations that focus on current events and environmental issues, and has a particular interest in anti-bullying programs and initiatives such as "Blessings in a Backpack," which aims to provide nutritious meals to underprivileged children.
