Arturo Erasmo Vidal Pardo, a Chilean professional footballer, was born on May 22, 1987. He plays as a midfielder for the renowned Spanish club Barcelona and the Chile national team. Vidal's impressive performances during his time at Juventus earned him several nicknames from the Italian press, including Il Guerriero ("The Warrior"),Rey Arturo ("King Arthur"),and La Piranha, due to his aggressive and tenacious playing style, characterized by his hard-tackling.
Vidal began his career with Colo-Colo, winning three Chilean Primera División titles. He then moved to Europe, joining Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, where he played for four seasons.
