Ana Ularu, a talented Romanian-born actor and director, began her acting journey at the tender age of nine, appearing in French productions such as "Meurtres par procuration" and "Passion Mortelle". After graduating with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Acting from the prestigious National University of Theatre and Film "I.L.Caragiale" (UNATC) in Bucharest, she has since amassed an impressive portfolio, featuring over 50 short films, TV films, TV series, and feature films.
A highly acclaimed theatre actress, Ana is currently starring in four productions in her native Bucharest. Her extensive filmography showcases her versatility, having worked with renowned Romanian New Wave directors such as Cãlin Peter Netzer, Cristian Mungiu, and Radu Muntean, as well as international masters like Francis Ford Coppola, Susanne Bier, and Ron Howard.
Ana's impressive awards tally includes the 'Boccalino d'Oro' in Locarno, the 'Best Actress' award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival, and the "Best Actress Award" at the "Cinema City" Festival In Novi Sad, all for her outstanding performance in "Outbound" (2010). Her notable roles include the Wicked Witch of the West in the NBC TV series "Emerald City" (2016) and Siberia alongside Keanu Reeves. Most recently, she has been seen starring as Eva Stellenbosch in the Amazon series "Alex Rider" and will soon appear in the Netflix production "Tribes of Europa".
