Amelia is the eldest of four children, including two older sisters and a younger brother. Unfortunately, her older sister passed away as an infant due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS),and Amelia never got the chance to meet her.
Amelia attended Pymble Ladies College (PLC) in Sydney, where she graduated in 2005. Prior to that, she attended Turramurra Public School and moved to PLC in year 5. At PLC, Amelia developed a passion for dancing and acting, participating in school plays, musicals, dance competitions, and the Rock Eisteddfod.
For her year 12 HSC, Amelia had to choose between drama and fashion design. She opted for fashion, believing she wanted to become a fashion designer. Her final project received high scores, and Amelia went on to complete a Bachelor of Fashion Design at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) in 2009. After graduation, she worked as a graphic textile designer and re-toucher for several years, including a 12-month stint at Australian active wear label Running Bare. Amelia then pursued a second undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) at Swinburne University, which she completed in 2018.
Amelia's acting career began with her role as the lead female, 'Laura,' in the film "Bad Influence" by Andreas Toumbas. She then landed the comedic role of 'Louise' in the indie feature "Friends & Strangers" by James Vaughn. Since 2018, Amelia has focused solely on acting and has had success in TVCs and indie productions in Sydney and short films in Los Angeles.
Amelia has honed her skills by studying the US accent with Linda Nicholls-Gidley, Natasha McNamara, and Barbara Hastings, as well as auditioning and performing in several US short films. She is also proficient in performing a Modern British (Modern RP) Accent. Amelia has a strong background in improvisation, having been part of her theatre sports team at school and later studying with Laugh Masters Academy (LMA) and Improv Theatre Sydney (ITS).
In addition to her acting career, Amelia is a keen writer and has directed her own comedy web-series, "Roller Coaster Testers," which is set for release in late 2022.
Despite starting her acting career later than many of her peers, Amelia works tirelessly, earning the admiration of her agent, who refers to her as one of the most hardworking actors in Sydney. With many exciting projects on the horizon, fans eagerly anticipate what's next for Amelia.
