Amalie Dollerup is the daughter of two school teachers and has been working as a child model since she was five years old. She made her debut as a five-year-old in Snow White at the Eventyrteatret. In 1995, she appeared in The Sound of Music at Amagerscenen and played the title role in Annie at the same venue.
Amalie Dollerup made her film debut in the 1995 film Only a Girl, but it was her role as Sille in the TV series Strisser på Samsø from 1997-98 that made her most well-known. In 1997, she had the lead role in the film Nonnebørn, which earned her a Bodil nomination. The following year, she released an album featuring the song Verdens bedste hund.
In 1999, she played Wendy in Peter Pan at Det Ny Teater. Amalie Dollerup was accepted as a student at the Skuespillerskolen at Aarhus Teater in 2006, where she is currently studying and is expected to graduate in 2010.
In addition to her live-action work, Amalie Dollerup has also provided voices for several cartoon characters, including Hanne in Toy Story, Starfire in Teen Titans, and Gwen Tennyson in Ben 10. Amalie Dollerup is in a relationship with actor Andreas Jebro.
