Biography of a renowned director and TV presenter, born in 1964 in Obninsk, Russia. With a degree in acting and directing from the prestigious Shchukin Theatre Institute, class of 1987. This accomplished individual spent eight years, from 1989 to 1997, presenting popular programs on Russian-language TV and radio in the United States. Since 1997, they have been a prominent figure in Russian television, making their feature film debut in 2002 with "The Shepherd of His Cows," which earned the prize for best debut at the 9th Russian film festival "Literature and cinema."
Throughout their illustrious career, they have received numerous accolades, including five TEFI awards for their work on "Closed Screening" and "Gordon Quixote." Their documentary films, such as "End of the Century," "Collection of Delusions," and "LDPR. 20 Years Facing Russia," have also garnered critical acclaim. In addition, their feature film "Brothel Lights" (2011) received the audience sympathy award at the IFF Pacific Meridian, a diploma at Kinotavr, and was nominated for the Golden Eagle and NIKA awards.
