Adrian's journey in the world of entertainment began at Lane Tech High School in Chicago, where he initially pursued football as a halfback for the school team. However, a severe leg injury, which punctured a major artery, forced him to abandon sports and explore his passion for acting. He made his stage debut in his high school's production of Guys and Dolls, which led to his appearance on a local TV show featuring Chicago's top high school performers.
This breakthrough opportunity prompted Adrian to transfer to the prestigious Goodman School of Drama, where he honed his craft and studied voice at the Chicago Conservatory of Music. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the renowned Goodman School of Drama.
Adrian's big break came when he landed the role of Danny Zuko in the national touring company production of Grease. At the age of 40, Adrian revived the role of Danny Zuko during the show's revival in 1995.
