Addison Riecke was born on January 26, 2004, in Covington, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. At the tender age of four, she discovered her passion for acting, singing, and playing musical instruments. By the time she was eight years old, she had already started her professional journey, appearing in ABC's sitcom "How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life)" and landing national commercials for Lunchables and Playstation.
As her talent and experience grew, Addison booked a pilot and became a series regular on Nickelodeon's hit show "The Thundermans," which spanned 103 episodes over four seasons. In this multi-cam, live-action, half-hour sitcom, Addison played Nora Thunderman, a spirited and mischievous character with laser-vision, as part of a family of superheroes trying to live a normal life despite their superhuman powers. The show premiered in November 2013 to an average of 2.1 million viewers and went on to win the Favorite TV Show award at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in 2016.
Addison's latest projects include starring as Cathy in the digital network Brat's series "A Girl Named Jo," alongside Annie LeBlanc as Jo. Set in 1963, the show follows the unlikely friendship between Cathy and Jo, who come from opposite sides of the tracks and work together to uncover the complex history of their community. The series premiered in the summer of 2018 and debuted to over 5 million viewers.
Addison made her film debut in "The Beguiled," an adaptation of the Thomas Cullinan novel of the same name. Set in 1864, the film tells the story of a wounded union soldier who is taken in by The Miss Martha Farnsworth Seminary for Young Ladies to be cared for. Addison played Marie, an academy resident, alongside a talented cast including Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning, and Colin Farrell. The film, written and directed by Sofia Coppola, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where Coppola received the prestigious award for Best Director. "The Beguiled" was released in theaters on June 23, 2017, by Focus Features.
In her most recent project, Addison co-starred with Hannah Marks, Liana Liberato, and Dylan Sprouse in the American High produced film "Banana Split." The film premiered at the 2018 Los Angeles Film Festival and tells the story of an unexpected female friendship during the pivotal transition between high school and college. Addison played Agnes, the saucy 13-year-old sister to Hannah Marks' character, April.
