Widower Bill Morgan takes in his brother-in-law, Uncle Johnny, to care for his spoiled and misbehaved kids, Kyle and Brittany, while he focuses on his career and a new romance. However, the kids' antics and skepticism about Santa Claus lead to them being removed from the North Pole's gift list. As a result, Santa and Mrs. Claus take a break from their holiday duties, and their daughter Rudolfa seeks to ruin Christmas for the Morgan family. But Rudolfa's younger sister Kristin, who has taken a job as the new au-pair, works to redeem the family and save Christmas.
