In a Christian seminary, two friends, Sam and Bergman, take different paths. Sam becomes a devoted priest, while Bergman turns to a life of crime. Sam reforms a troubled young boy, Thomas, who falls in love with Beatrice, an innocent girl. However, Bergman's schemes lead to Sam's wrongful imprisonment, and he also corrupts Thomas, revealing a shocking truth: Beatrice is his daughter.
