A projectionist in a New York City cinema loves the creative aspect of his job, often doing movie star impersonations and displaying movie posters in his bedroom. However, he despises his demanding boss, Renaldi, who imposes strict and unreasonable rules. The projectionist's solitary work allows him to indulge in fantasies, imagining himself as Captain Flash, a superhero battling his arch-nemesis, the Bat, and saving "the girl".
