Sub-Inspector Durai Singam lives a wealthy lifestyle with his family in Nallore, using his powers wisely and earning everyone's respect. He falls in love with Kavya Mahalingam, but her businessman father disapproves of him. When Durai is ordered to handle a gangster, Mayil Vaaganam, the latter initially refuses but eventually reports and tries to intimidate Durai with his goons, only to be humiliated.
