A cunning swindler, Sherwood Nash, smuggles high-end Parisian fashion to sell at a discount. With the help of his assistant Lynn, who poses as an American interested in a dress, and Snap, who conceals a camera in his cane, they attempt to steal the latest Baroque designs. However, their scheme is foiled by hidden cameras, leading to a tense standoff that ultimately results in a proposal to stage a legitimate fashion show.
