Mary Donnell, a young woman, was widowed after marrying a gangster at 16. She then worked for a lawyer, Lloyd Rogers, who was unhappily married. Mary eloped with a client's son, Jack, but their marriage was annulled when his father discovered them. Mary had a son, Jackie, and later learned that Lloyd Rogers might be the father.
