In the midst of a man-eating black panther's reign of terror, Bomba embarks on a mission to track it down. Along the way, he encounters the Maitland siblings, Robert and Judy, who are striving to establish an agricultural station. However, the local workmen are consumed by superstition, believing the Maitlands' housemaid, Losana, possesses the spirit of a panther. As tensions rise, Robert's inexperience nearly leads to catastrophe when he sets a controlled fire, which in turn sparks a confrontation with the elusive predator.
