Pirate Billy Bones checks into a seaside inn, where he shares his fear of being found by his former pirate associates with the young Jim Hawkins. After Bones' death, Jim shows the treasure map to respected gentlemen Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney, who plan an expedition to retrieve the buried treasure. However, Long John Silver, a cunning and brutal pirate, secretly boards the ship with his co-conspirators and brutally kills loyal crew members. As the crew fights the mutineers for control of the treasure, a stranded and simple-minded pirate named Ben Gunn may hold the key to their victory.
