In this ancient Roman comedy, a cunning slave concocts a plan to secure his liberty by matchmaking between his master and a courtesan, but his scheme ultimately ensnares his neighbors, culminating in a hilarious and chaotic chain of events.

A lazy slave in ancient Rome, Pseudolus, longs to buy his freedom and concocts a plan to do so. He discovers that his young master has fallen for a virgin from a slave dealer's house, and offers to be freed if he can secure her for the young man.
