The Pharmacist

In 1999, after losing his son in a drug-related shooting in New Orleans and seeking answers from police who failed to provide him with them, pharmacist Dan Schneider embarked on an unconventional quest. He pursued relentlessly until he uncovered the truth about his son's killer. Months later, however, similar troubling incidents began at his pharmacy: seemingly healthy young people visiting for high-dose prescriptions of OxyContin. Sensing a crisis before it became widely known as the opioid epidemic, Schneider vowed to save lives in his community and fight against pharmaceutical companies themselves.
