Two workers discover a hidden chamber beneath the Saint Jean André Church in Paris, only to be attacked by a mysterious creature. Meanwhile, discredited Professor Jack Randall, who wrote about Gargoyles, is drawn to the site and witnesses a winged monster with his camera. After fleeing the scene, Jack's friend Carol is brutally murdered by a Gargoyle. As Jack becomes the prime suspect, he teams up with a reporter to uncover the truth behind the Gargoyle's existence.
